About The Position

The Patient Transporter-Lead position at Mercy Hospital St. Louis involves overseeing the transport of patients and equipment within the medical center. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year of transporting experience.
  • Two years of customer service experience.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Transport patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center.
  • Perform various patient-related activities as assigned.
  • Train new co-workers on all aspects of the transport process.
  • Ensure patients are transported safely and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times.
  • Maintain PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout Mercy.
  • Regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work collaboratively with co-workers in the Patient Transportation Department and other departments.
  • Use Epic software to track each patient's location during transport.
  • Train new co-workers to operate Epic software correctly.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
