About The Position

The Patient Transporter at St. Luke's Health System is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of patients, supplies, and equipment throughout the facilities. This role involves direct patient contact and requires adherence to health and safety standards to enhance the patient experience.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from inpatient units, surgery, therapy, radiology, and other areas.
• Assist patients into/out of bed and transport equipment using assistive devices.
• Retrieve medical records, laboratory specimens, supplies, and medications as required.
• Maintain and clean transport equipment.
• Comply with established personal protective equipment requirements.
• Adhere to all health and safety requirements to meet regulatory and company standards.
• Transport ambulatory patients and equipment in vehicles.
• Act as a valet for incoming patients/visitors as needed.
• Resolve routine questions, issues, and problems; refer complex issues to higher levels.
• Assist with dispatch coverage as needed.
• Participate in interview, training, and onboarding processes.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives as needed.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
