Requirements

• Must have BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current throughout employment
• Transportation experience preferred
• Starting April 2014, all new hires will require a High School diploma or Equivalent

Responsibilities

• The Transporter transports patients to and from other units and departments.
• Other duties include but are not limited to:ordering supplies, stocking, dressing patients and assisting with ambulation of patients.
• Performs clerical duties for the Department utilizing telephone, computer and other hospital devices.
• Answers telephones using good telephone etiquette, greets patients and visitors in a polite and friendly manner and prepares/prints various records.
