About The Position

The Transporter coordinates with doctors, nurses and other medical professionals to take patients from various locations, such as emergency room, imaging, scans, surgery, inpatient bed, other diagnostic tests or procedures, and discharge of patients. The Transporter may help patients in and out of bed, or use wheelchairs and stretchers to get patients to identified locations.

Requirements

• Preferred High School Diploma/GED
• 1 year Healthcare Preferred
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Prepare for transport.
• Patient identification.
• Transport patient to required location.
• Return transport.
