About The Position

The Patient Transport Driver 1 plans and provides safe and efficient transportation services for patients to and from medically necessary appointment locations. The Patient Transport Driver 1 performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments. The Patient Transport Driver 1 works closely with medical center operations to ensure optimal patient experiences. May use basic mechanical skills to inspect vehicles daily to ensure safety compliance and that vehicles are in proper working condition to provide high-quality and safe patient transportation (includes inspections, repairs, and maintenance scheduling, etc). Decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and works under close supervision and/or within established policies/practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation.

Requirements

• Professional experience with commercial vehicle as a Driver.
• Basic computer and smartphone/tablet skills.
• Ability to transport members in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
• Good driving record and knowledge of streets and addresses in the driving area.
• Must maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Basic mechanical skills to inspect vehicles daily.
