About The Position

The Patient Driver for the Partial Day Program at the psychiatric hospital is responsible for safely transporting patients to and from the facility, ensuring punctuality, compassion, and adherence to all safety and confidentiality protocols.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid State of Delaware Driver's License with a clean driving record
• Minimum two years of experience in patient transportation

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from specified locations.
• Address vehicle maintenance and repair needs in accordance with established procedures.
• Run errands, pick up supplies and make deliveries as requested.
• Maintain transportation logbook and other documentation associated with services provided.
• Consistently engages and interacts with our patients and their families by using the treatment principles of Trauma Responsive Care.
• Follow hospital safety regulations when operating department equipment.
• Report incidents and accidents as required by hospital procedure.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Support facility internal and external customer service standards.
