About The Position

Administers non-emergent out of hospital care (such as moving, lifting, positioning) and transportation services to sick or injured persons.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Valid CT Driver's License.
• American Heart Association, BLS, CPR or equivalent.
• Completion of Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
• May be required to obtain a public passenger license.
• AHA, ARC, or NSC, BLS, CPR, (or CPR-Instructor) certificate that has not expired.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical transportation to wheel chair and livery patients.
• Safely fulfills all transport responsibilities associated with patient conveyance.
• Documents relevant activities conveyance of patients.
• Maintains equipment for constant state of readiness.
• Operates vehicles safely while performing all matters in relation to patient conveyance.
• May participate in orientation and training of new employees.
• Recommends changes to lead staff to ensure smooth operation of transportation system.
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicles.
• Maintains crew quarters.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
