Patient Transport (Driver) - Float

About the position

The Patient Transport (Driver) position at SSM Health Physical Therapy - Outpatient Division involves driving company vehicles for pick-ups and deliveries between facilities, as well as assisting the Administration team with daily operations. The role requires a split shift schedule from 6:30am to 11:30am and 1:30pm to 6:00pm, and starts at $18/hr, with potential increases based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Drives the company vehicles in a safe manner according to the written schedule.
• Maintains company vehicles in a clean condition, both interior and exterior.
• Coordinates vehicle maintenance schedule and reports problems with vehicles to supervisor.
• Assists with the transport of furniture and supplies between facilities.
• Transports patients from their homes to designated facilities for appointments.
• Delivers interoffice mail to the appropriate facility at designated times.
• Utilizes computer for searching directions and location information.
• Uses GPS for route planning.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Direct patient care experience required.
• Current State Driver's License in good standing required.
• Acquisition of a Class E license allowing for the operation of a bus is required within three months of employment.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as a driver required.
• Schedule flexibility.
