About The Position

This position provides safe transportation for patients, specimens, and equipment, along with other related assigned tasks. The role involves coordinating these services within the Hospital to meet and exceed customer needs and expectations. The Patient Transport Aide is also expected to actively support the mission, goals, and objectives of the Hospital.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Basic CPR training required or to be completed within three months of hire
• Demonstrates the CARES Values and Standards of Cooperation at all times.
• Requires weekend & evening flexibility.

Nice To Haves

• C.N.A certification preferred.
• One year of previous health care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Verifies all information needed to safely transport patient
• Explains transport procedure to the patient prior to moving
• Assures patient comfort during transport
• Assures that patient privacy is respected at all times
• Monitors patient’s condition during transport
• Demonstrates ability to handle confidential information with discretion following system confidentiality guidelines
