About The Position
Patient Throughput Specialist (PTS) — an office-based role where your nursing expertise supports hospital operations, patient safety, and care continuity behind the scenes. As a Patient Throughput Specialist, you’ll coordinate patient movement during inpatient stays, ensuring patients are placed with the right care team at the right time. You’ll use EPIC and other tools to remotely triage patients, manage consults, and support seamless hospital operations — all while collaborating closely with the Transfer Center, Emergency Department, and consulting services. This role is perfect for nurses who love clinical reasoning, enjoy working with data and systems, and want to remain connected to patient care without the physical demands of bedside nursing.
