Summary: Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. This is a dual position that includes the job responsibilities of a Patient Care Technician, a Cardiac Monitor Technician, a Visual Monitor, a Mental Health/Patient Care Technician, or a Unit Secretary.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
• 6 months acute care experience as a patient caregiver
• 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience as a patient caregiver
• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an RN or LPN program
• Completion of a Baycare approved Nurse Assistant/PCT program--that includes a program with a minimum of 40 hours hands-on patient care experience outside of a lab setting
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; may also qualify with a Certificate of Completion
