May require access to storage areas where medications are kept and carry out procedures that require the use of non-prescription medications. Accountabilities Performs responsibilities accurately, timely, and safely for assigned patients/area. Communicates and informs appropriate personnel, patients and family members of pertinent information in a timely manner. Maintains accurate paper and electronic documentation. Utilizes equipment and supplies safely and appropriately; orders supplies as needed; labels specimens correctly. Performs basic nursing care, simple and complex procedures, multiple treatments, waived testing and transports assigned patients. Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory/Management Responsibility This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
  • Successful completion of tech training course as evidenced by Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) exam or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) course or nursing fundamentals from accredited organization required.
  • Medical Assistant Training also acceptable.
  • 1 year nurse tech hospital experience or skilled nursing facility is required if the candidate does not meet all of the educational requirements.
  • Computer experience is required.
  • Must possess skills necessary to care for patients.
  • Heartsaver required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous CNA or CMA or related experience preferred.
  • NT: 2 years NT/NA experience is preferred
  • Candidates without the preferred experience are eligible for hire if they meet all of the educational requirements.
