About The Position

The Patient Support Technician Lead at St. Joseph's Health is responsible for ensuring the quality of the patient's environment through various tasks such as cleaning, stocking supplies, and transporting patients and equipment. Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent desired.
• Ability to read and write.
• Participation in orientation and annual competencies is required.
• Knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise such as Stroke, Wound Care, and Phlebotomy.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas to maintain a quality patient environment.
• Stock supplies as needed to ensure availability for patient care.
• Transport patients, supplies, specimens, and equipment as required.
• Assist oncology/infusion operating room staff and PACU staff with patient care needs.
• Train new staff in their roles and responsibilities.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and quality assurance as directed by the Unit Manager.
• Adhere to hospital policies and infection control procedures.
