Patient Support Specialist - Interventional Job Type: Full-Time Key Duties Include: · Greet clients and visitors in a warm, professional, and respectful manner · Schedule, confirm, and manage client appointments using the practice’s scheduling software · Verify the integrity and completeness of patient medical records and demographic information · Verify patient insurance benefits · Initiate and complete prior authorization for medications, procedures and services · Initiates patient assistance program renewals for additional patient benefits · Collects copays and patient balances accurately · Communicate effectively with clinicians, billing staff and other team members · Support administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and handling correspondence · Take incoming and make outgoing calls as needed and return voicemails · Transcribe medication refill requests · Create, receive, process and upload outside lab reports to patient record · Coordinates treatments for TMS and Spravato patients · Informs patients of financial obligations and deductibles related to treatments and services per individual plan · Educate patients on Spravato/TMS treatment, procedures, and guidelines · Performs authorization renewals for TMS and Spravato patients · Maintains client confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations · Assists with TMS treatments as needed · Follow-up on potential leads for service-line · All other duties as assigned This position is in an office setting and frequently interacts with clients and staff. Must be able sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods of time.
