About The Position
Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Constant Observer supports patient safety through monitoring and observation of assigned patient or patients. This role provides continual bedside observation to assigned patients, ensuring their safety and intervening as necessary to prevent physical harm to patients who might be at high risk to injure themselves or others due to confusion, delirium, self-destructive behavior, or a high predictive factor of falling. The Constant Observer works collaboratively with others in the healthcare team to assure prompt intervention to maintain patient safety. This vital patient care support role involves providing essential assistance and comfort to patients, aiming to ensure they receive the best possible experience during their healthcare journey. Responsibilities
- Supports patient safety through monitoring and observation of assigned patient or patients
- Provides continual bedside observation to assigned patient
