About The Position
To provide the services of a sitter for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation in order to maximize his or her safety. Performs a variety of routine duties to assist in the delivery of patient care.
Requirements
- CPR certification is preferred
- Formal training or equivalent experience such as, nursing assistant, C.N.A., EMT preferred
- The ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately
- Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals
- Ability to move or lift patients and equipment
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and basic computer knowledge is preferred
- Previous hospital or nursing home experience also preferred
