About The Position

The position involves providing bedside presence to ensure the safety of patients who are at risk to themselves or others, disoriented, confused, or under a Baker Act. The sitter is responsible for alerting nursing staff to any patient care needs and may assist with simple patient needs such as providing water or helping with feeding, but only under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The role requires demonstrating service excellence at all times and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• State of Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside presence to assure the safety of patients who are a safety risk to self or others.
• Alert nursing staff to any patient care needs.
• Assist with simple patient needs such as water or help with feeding under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrate service excellence at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
