About The Position

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, provide nursing unit with efficient and appropriate assistance with selected patient and unit needs. May also perform a variety of clerical duties and various tasks to provide a well-supplied, safe, and clean patient unit. The Patient Sitter/Mobility Tech will provide mobility opportunities and education to various patients. They will offer assistance accessing our facility and help set patients up for eating. They will perform patient sitting for patients requiring 1:1. It is important they encourage a culture of positivity and enthusiasm. The Patient Sitter/Mobility Tech will also perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Ability to assist with patient mobility and education.
• Strong communication skills to interact with patients and staff.
• Ability to perform clerical duties as needed.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and appropriate assistance with selected patient and unit needs under the direction of the Nurse Manager.
• Perform a variety of clerical duties to maintain a well-supplied, safe, and clean patient unit.
• Provide mobility opportunities and education to various patients.
• Assist patients in accessing the facility and setting up for eating.
• Perform patient sitting for patients requiring 1:1 supervision.
• Encourage a culture of positivity and enthusiasm among patients and staff.
• Perform other duties as required.
