In this role you will be responsible for maintaining constant visual observation of the assigned patient, providing safe and respectful supervision for patients who are at risk of harming themselves or others, and assisting with basic patient needs as directed by the nursing staff. You will alert nursing staff promptly to any changes in patient behavior, medical condition, or safety concerns, and ensure the patient's environment remains safe and free from hazards. Additionally, you will respect and maintain patient dignity and confidentiality, document observations and interactions as required by facility policy, comply with all hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and protocols, and participate in hand-off communication at the beginning and end of the shift.
