About The Position

The Patient Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Managed Care Patient Services staff in a medical clinic setting within a correctional facility. This role involves supervising the scheduling of patient appointments, managing patient visits, and maintaining accurate records. The supervisor will also handle employee-related tasks such as hiring, training, and performance evaluations, while ensuring a values-based culture that promotes unit effectiveness.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of five years of customer service experience, with two years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in a clinic or physician's office preferred.
• Alternatively, three years of experience at TTUHSC in the Patient Services Program and one year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Managed Care Patient Services staff in processing patients.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage check-in/check-out processes.
• Maintain patient records and respond to requests for patient information.
• Interview, hire, and train new employees.
• Plan, assign, and direct work for the team.
• Appraise performance and address complaints or problems.
• Serve as a liaison for staff and coordinate clinic services.
• Ensure accurate time clock usage according to procedures.
• Complete travel needs for Medical department clinical staff.
• Act as a back-up for Medical Department Patient Services Specialist.
