Key duties include managing patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling, collection, and cash receipting, as well as arrival and departure desk activities, ensuring accuracy and an outstanding patient experience. The specialist encourages patient utilization of front-end technology during registration, enters and maintains confidential patient information, assists with billing functions, and demonstrates proficiency in emergency codes and healthcare regulations. They also monitor inventory and stock medications, narcotics, and emergency equipment.
