To learn more about Team OC please visit https://www.orthocarolina.com/about-us We are currently searching for a Part Time Patient Services Specialist to work with our OrthoCarolina Matthews Orthopedic Urgent Care team. This position will be scheduled for 2 shifts per week . Shifts are Saturdays and Sundays from 9:45am to 2:00pm. The Patient Services Specialist greets patients, prepares forms, collects, verifies and enters patient information into EPIC necessary for the timely and accurate processing of patient claims. Ess ential Functions: Prepares paperwork necessary for the patient visit. Answers incoming phone calls and directs calls, makes appointments, performs Cashier duties as directed including posting of charges, Collection of co-payments/co-insurance and balances due. Follows the process for release of medical information and FMLA/disability forms completion as requested .
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Working knowledge of insurance
- High school graduate and/or associate or bachelor's degree
Nice To Haves
- Epic/EMR background a plus
- Medical terminology
- Prefer minimum of one year experience in medical clinic setting.
