Requirements

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One to three years of experience in a medical office or similar setting preferred
  • Experience with EMR systems strongly preferred (Athena experience is a plus)
  • Ability to stay organized and professional in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and provide a warm, professional experience at every interaction
  • Manage incoming calls, answer questions, and direct patients appropriately
  • Schedule appointments efficiently and accurately
  • Prepare for patient visits by verifying insurance, confirming appointments, collecting co-pays, and sharing any necessary pre-visit instructions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records within the EMR system
  • Support the care team by ensuring patient needs are clearly communicated prior to visits
  • Assist with front office organization and day-to-day tasks to keep the practice running smoothly
