About the position

The Patient Services Specialist (PSS) will handle most clerical duties associated with a medical clinic. The job is divided into 'stations' with distinct job duties, and each PSS employee is expected to assist co-workers in performing all duties of a PSS at all times. Employees will be required to learn and perform all duties of all front office stations. Strong copywriting and editing skills are essential, along with attention to detail and the ability to meet time-sensitive priorities. The role requires high organization and flexibility according to changing priorities. Additional duties and projects may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Handle clerical duties associated with a medical clinic.
  • Assist co-workers in performing all job duties of a Patient Services Specialist.
  • Learn and perform all duties of all front office stations.
  • Demonstrate strong copywriting and editing skills.
  • Maintain attention to detail and meet time-sensitive priorities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED required.
  • Experience in the healthcare field is highly preferred.
  • Strong ability to multitask and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate in a second language.
