Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Perform registration of patients, including interviewing and completion of required forms.
  • Obtain accurate demographic and insurance data.
  • Verify insurance coverage and authorization for treatment.
  • Communicate with other departments regarding patient registration.
  • Perform routine pre-admitting counseling, including financial counseling/screening.
  • Greet and direct patients and visitors.
  • Accept patient valuables.
  • Assist with PBX/Switchboard/Reception responsibilities.
  • Accurately capture all pertinent registration data including physician orders for processing of patient registration.
  • Determine when assistance is needed from other departments and follow through to ensure patient care is not compromised.
