As a full-time Urgent Care team member, you will enjoy contributing three 12-hour shifts per week, including weekend rotations and paid holidays allowing you plenty of time for friends, family, and self-care ! Patient Service Representative – Urgent Care – Midlothian/Swift Creek – Fulltime The Patient Services Representative is the welcoming agent for patients in the urgent care center and collects necessary information to initiate the urgent care visit. The registrar communicates and models the mission and values of Bon Secours.

Requirements

  • Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • At least one year of face-to-face registration or Customer Service experience .
  • Strong oral communication skills, good attention to details, and an ability to multitask .
  • Possesses problem-solving skills, basic computer skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Engage with staff and patients in a professional manner
  • Basic math skills

Responsibilities

  • Collect patient information and co-pays to initiate an urgent care visit and document such information within the electronic medical record (EMR) .
  • Answers phone in a manner consistent with Bon Secours standards of excellence, appropriately route calls, schedules patients, and enters necessary information for patient scheduling into the computer system in a timely and accurate manner .
  • Follows front end revenue cycle check-in standard work including Obtains registration from patients and accurately enters required information into the computer system, secures signatures on all required forms and updates information accordingly, Registers patients in a timely and accurate manner, collects missing information from the patient, Collects necessary co-pays and/or collection balances from the patient.
  • Maintains a safe and supportive environment by keeping the work area, supplies and equipment clean, orderly, and safe manners , ensuring availability and proper functioning of supplies and equipment .
  • Participates as an active member of the patient care team, including attendance at clinical huddles .
  • Reconcile cash drawer at the end of the day.
  • Schedules follow-up appointments and/or assists with scheduling other services for patients.
  • Other duties include but not limited to DOT specimen collection, ordering supplies, cleaning and/or disposing of contaminated supplies, scheduling, phone triage
