About The Position

We are seeking a Patient Services Advocate to support a busy on‑site dental college clinic. This role focuses on delivering excellent patient service while supporting dental students and clinical operations. The ideal candidate has experience in healthcare scheduling, insurance verification, and patient registration, with dental experience strongly preferred. This is a full‑time, on‑site opportunity with a consistent weekday schedule and the possibility of conversion to a permanent role.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in medical scheduling or a healthcare setting
Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations
2+ years of customer service experience
Strong computer skills, including word processing and email
Ability to accurately register and interview patients

Nice To Haves

Dental clinic or dental office experience
Knowledge of dental codes and third‑party reimbursement

Responsibilities

Complete patient registration by collecting and entering accurate demographic and financial information
Accept referrals, schedule appointments, and confirm upcoming visits
Verify dental procedure codes and coordinate insurance verification and prior authorizations
Determine appropriate fees and collect patient payments using credit card systems
Prepare and balance daily deposits
Serve as a liaison between patients and dental students to ensure smooth clinic operations
Maintain compliance with third‑party reimbursement guidelines
Provide professional, courteous customer service in a clinical environment
