This includes checking in and out patients, collecting co-pays, verifying insurance, scheduling appointments, and assisting clinical staff to provide support for the efficient delivery of patient care. The role also involves opening and closing the office, ensuring the waiting area is always neat, answering phones including scheduling and following up on appointments, and entering patient demographics into the EMR. Additionally, the Patient Service Representative is responsible for collecting co-pays, prepayments, and any outstanding balances, as well as working the assigned ‘buckets’ in the EMR.
