About The Position

Patient Services Representative - Specialty This position serves as a resident expert in their area of support by providing an environment of good will and optimum services to patients and clients. This role is on-site (100%) in Sacramento, CA (95811). Schedule: Monday - Thursday 10:00am - 7:00pm Friday 9:00am - 6:00pm Essential Functions Promptly and courteously provides the information and services requested by patient. Takes initiative to seek assistance from others; informs patient/clients of the need to do so; explains who is being called upon to help; and ensures that all patient/clients requests are addressed in a way which minimizes inconveniences of all parties. Maintain strict patient/clients confidentiality at all times. Verify and update patient demographic information and insurance information. Communicate appointment delays effectively with patients and providers; apprise patients of wait times, delays, etc. Verify patient insurance eligibility and co-payment. (HMO's, PPO's, Managed Care) Create daily batch and collect co-pay, provide receipt, and obtain credit/debit card authorization as needed. Explain terms and conditions of services and financial responsibility Answers phones as needed. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3 years previous medical secretarial/office experience required.
  • Active CPR, BLS Certification.
