About The Position

Reporting to the Lead Patient Service Representative, the Patient Service Representative (PSR) rotates between the departments: X-Ray, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, CT, and Mammography. The PSR greets patients and visitors entering the department. The PSR generates and sorts exam requisitions, accurately enters exams into the HIS/RIS system. Must maintain a high level of patient confidentiality via HIPAA guidelines and be committed to Service Excellence at all times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year in a medical office environment preferred.
• Customer service, data entry, and HIS/RIS experience a plus.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively using medical terminology.
• Accurate data entry skills.
• Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Computer skills required.

Nice To Haves

• Medical Terminology course preferred.
• Previous coursework related to administrative skills preferred.
