As a part of the Ambulatory Float Pool, provide smooth outpatient flow resulting in optimum patient satisfaction and clinic operation. excellent interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate appointments and assist patients and families as needed. Participate in a variety of duties associated with daily clinic preparation process, from customer service, message distribution, appointment scheduling, encounter registration, referrals management, financial clearance and verification. Will be involved in tasks related to training/educating ambulatory staff. Must be highly flexible, adaptable, enthusiastic, have a proactive approach, work efficiently and effectively under pressure in a team environment. Coordinates ancillary services, consultations, and referrals ordered for patients. Answers and screens incoming calls, takes and relays messages to clinicians. In instances of short staffing and high demand/peak times when ambulatory clinics require staffing to ensure smooth operations, the Ambulatory Float Pool - Patient Service Representative II would assist in coverage of assuming the duties of Ambulatory Float Pool - Patient Service Representative I.
