The Patient Services Representative II serves as the first point of contact for patients entering the medical facility, specifically in an outpatient setting. This role involves greeting and checking-in patients, verifying their information, scheduling appointments, and updating their Electronic Health Records (EHR). The representative is responsible for facilitating intake procedures, including the completion of healthcare and insurance forms, and collecting payments for services. A key aspect of the job is to build confidence and cooperation with patients, their families/support groups, and other healthcare providers through competent performance and effective communication. The position requires strict adherence to all organizational, local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety while delivering optimal care. Additionally, the representative may be tasked with performing specific departmental tasks and/or orienting new staff members.
