Requirements

• High School Diploma plus 1 year experience in medical front office or combination of relevant experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients regarding their accounts including setting up payment plans.
• Answer questions concerning bills and ensure billing information is accurate in the system.
• Process referrals to specialty care, dieticians, radiology exams, and community resources.
• Contact patients to make appointments.
• Ensure copays and deductibles are adjusted based on patient's sliding fee level (as appropriate).
• Review sliding fee paperwork for completeness and ensure documentation is correct in electronic health record (E.H.R) and practice management (E.P.M) systems.
• Answer billing questions from staff, vendors, and patients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
