Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year of clerical experience in a medical office setting is required.
• Knowledge of medical office software for updating patient information, posting charges, and scheduling appointments is necessary.
• Excellent verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to work with changing priorities and maintain confidentiality is essential.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are necessary.
• Basic medical terminology knowledge is required, which can be obtained through formal classes or work experience.
• High level of working knowledge of EPIC systems is required.
• Detailed knowledge of multiple payors billing requirements is necessary.
• Familiarity with coding requirements for practice specialty is required.
