The mission of The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center is to eliminate cancer in Texas, the nation, and the world through outstanding programs that integrate patient care, research, and prevention, and through education for undergraduate and graduate students, trainees, professionals, employees, and the public. The position involves scheduling patient visits, physician appointments, diagnostic tests, procedures, and treatments. It requires communication of pertinent information regarding appointments, scheduling, prepayment, and financial counseling to patients, families, physicians, team members, and other patient care areas. The role also includes interpreting and coordinating physician orders and preparing and maintaining appointment templates and/or patient records. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and customer-focused with experience using Epic Systems, front desk operations, and customer service in healthcare settings. A background in clerical, administrative, or office support roles, with strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary to meet the demands of the dynamic environment.
