About The Position
We are currently searching for a Patient Services Assistant (aka Nursing Assistant) to assist the nursing team with a variety of patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort, and safety of patients. Assists patients with personal hygiene, dressing, walking. Changes bed linens and assists with patient transportation to tests and procedures. May serve and collect food trays and provide patients with between-meal nourishment. May record temperature or vital signs under the direction of a nurse. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Qualified candidates will work independently providing resource information and general nursing care to patients. This individual completes clerical tasks related to regulatory annual requirements, audits and patient processes.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent for those with less than 5 years of caregiver experience.
- No Degree is required for those with a minimum of 5 years experience as a caregiver.
- Must have a strong interest in customer service, able to multi task, work independently with little supervision.
- Passionate about providing excellent patient care and able to demonstrate compassion at the end of life.
- BLS CPR certification at time of hire, or ability to obtain during orientation period.
