The Patient Service Technician is responsible for delivering and picking up equipment from homecare patients. This role involves setting up equipment and instructing patients on its basic use, as well as assisting them in solving problems regarding equipment use. The technician will schedule and organize daily deliveries and pickups according to geographic territory, load and unload durable medical or infusion equipment, oxygen, and medical supplies onto the delivery vehicle, and comply with all applicable regulatory requirements. The position also requires completing necessary paperwork, notifying supervisors of any concerning conditions in patients' homes, maintaining vehicle logs, responding to emergency delivery calls, and performing routine vehicle maintenance.

  • Notifies supervisor of any concerning conditions in the patient's home.
  • Maintains daily vehicle maintenance logs and incident reports.
  • Responds to emergency delivery calls as needed.
  • May clean and assist with the repair of equipment.
  • Performs routine vehicle maintenance.
  • Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma is required.
  • At least one-year related work experience is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older at the time of hire.
  • Minimum of three years driving history required.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's license.
  • Successful completion of Apria Healthcare's Driver Training Program.
  • Must meet job-related requirements to comply with D.O.T., F.D.A. and Joint Commissions regulations.
