About The Position

As a Patient Service Specialist at our outpatient physical therapy center in Lake Orion, MI, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients have an exceptional experience from the moment they enter our facility. Your responsibilities will include managing both the patient side and the business side of our center, starting at the front desk. You will greet and register patients, provide them with information about what to expect during their visit, and assist them with scheduling their next appointments. Your role is vital in making a positive impact on every patient's care experience, even before they leave the waiting room.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

• 1 Year of Medical Office Experience.
• Insurance Verification Experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders and business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
