About The Position

MaineHealth Behavioral Health Clerical/Administrative Support Req #: 57008 For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $3,000 sign on bonus for Patient Service Specialist (PSSs): Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time PSR position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position. MaineHealth Behavioral Health - Damariscotta | MaineHealth is searching for a Patient Service Specialist. The Patient Service Specialist serves as the first point of contact for patients, families, and providers, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment. This role is responsible for managing front desk operations, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and coordinating patient flow to deliver an exceptional experience. The Patient Service Specialist plays a key role in maintaining confidentiality, supporting behavioral health services, and fostering compassionate communication with individuals seeking care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Six months of medical office experience required
