Requirements

Responsibilities

• Check in and check out patients.
• Perform insurance verifications.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with the Center manager to minimize cancellations.
• Register patient information, ensuring all forms are complete and accurate in the electronic medical record.
• Verify patient insurance and obtain required authorizations before patient visits.
• Explain benefits, financial responsibilities, billing, and outpatient policies to patients.
• Collect patient responsibility payments at each visit.
• Scan and maintain medical documents.
• Reconcile and post charges daily to ensure clean claim processing.
• Respond to requests for information from patients, other departments, and physicians.
• Maintain office supplies and manage mail.
• Adjust schedule as needed to meet center requirements.
• Attend mandatory meetings and in-service education programs.
• Travel to non-home location centers or other sites for coverage when necessary.
