As a Patient Service Representative , you will be the first point of contact for patients and referral sources. This is an in person position in a professional healthcare setting where consistency, attention to detail, and excellent communication are essential. ⚠️ Important: This role includes a 90 day probationary period with no missed days, no late arrivals, and no early departures . Strong attendance is critical to success in this position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2 to 3 years of experience in customer service, scheduling, or data entry
- Clear, professional communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently in an office environment
- Proven history of reliable attendance and punctuality
Nice To Haves
- Healthcare or medical office experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
Responsibilities
- Answer a high volume of incoming calls throughout the day
- Schedule patient appointments and manage intake information
- Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance details
- Accurately enter data into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
- Respond to patient questions regarding appointments and accounts
- Screen calls and take detailed messages when needed
- Verify insurance coverage requirements prior to scheduled services
- Communicate with referral sources to obtain additional information or provide updates
- Support the team with additional administrative duties as assigned
