Join Our Team: We are searching for a Patient Service Representative for our Watson Primary Care office located at 7419 Watson Road! Opportunity: Full-time opening Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. No evenings, weekends or holidays Benefit eligible Outpatient clinical practice Day-to-Day: Primary responsibility will be to cover check-out duties for the office Will float to cover additional areas/responsibilities, which may include: answering the telephone scheduling patient appointments checking patients in collecting co-payments verifying insurance registering patients/updating patient demographics processing referrals and prior authorizations Balance monies at day end May be required to enter physician-related charges into the computer May be required to bill hospital/nursing home charges Who we are seeking ( preferred ) : The Patient Service Representative is highly visible in their interactions with patients and must therefore project a positive office image at all times including smiling, greeting patients with enthusiasm, and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers. Formal training which will probably be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent. 1 or more years of experience working with the public, preferably in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of medical terminology, Knowledge of the different types of health insurance plans; i.e. HMO’s, PPO’s, etc. PC/Windows proficiency. Medical coding familiarity. Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction. Ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments. Requirements

  • Formal training which will probably be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 or more years of experience working with the public, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
