About The Position

As a Patient Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients and referral sources. This is an in person position in a professional healthcare setting where consistency, attention to detail, and excellent communication are essential. ⚠️ Important: This role includes a 90 day probationary period with no missed days, no late arrivals, and no early departures. Strong attendance is critical to success in this position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in customer service, scheduling, or data entry
  • Healthcare or medical office experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills
  • Clear, professional communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently in an office environment
  • Proven history of reliable attendance and punctuality

Responsibilities

  • Answer a high volume of incoming calls throughout the day
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage intake information
  • Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance details
  • Accurately enter data into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
  • Respond to patient questions regarding appointments and accounts
  • Screen calls and take detailed messages when needed
  • Verify insurance coverage requirements prior to scheduled services
  • Communicate with referral sources to obtain additional information or provide updates
  • Support the team with additional administrative duties as assigned
