Summary: The Patient Support Specialist/Service Representative provides essential administrative support to all Bridgewell clinics, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of front-office functions and delivering exceptional service to patients and clinical staff.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School diploma is required.
  • Previous experience working in a medical setting is highly preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Ability to solve problem effectively and possess excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, required.
  • Candidate should demonstrate the ability to act as a team player, and communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to work as a cohesive team member with other inter-disciplinary team members Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Must be detail orientated
  • Excellent customer service skills; Ability to interact with patience and sensitivity in all contact with individuals.
  • Computer literacy to include ability to proficiently use Microsoft products and web-based applications supported by the agency.
  • Competent in technology including the ability to use proficiently different EMR systems.
  • Must have a current US driver's license and one year of driving experience.
  • Ability to be certified and maintain such certification, in PPS, PABC Tier 1 and 2, medication administration, First Aid/CPR and any other certification/training required based on program needs and Bridgewell policies and procedures.
  • Requires acceptable CORI results according to Bridgewell policy.

Responsibilities

  • Make daily medication and therapy appointment reminder calls for all clinics.
  • Collect any applicable co-payments from patients at the time of the reminder call and record receipt of payment in the EHR.
  • At the time of the reminder call, verify patient's current information such as address, phone number, emergency contacts, insurance coverage and other key data and ensure updates are entered as necessary in the EHR.
  • Inform Patient Care Coordinators (PCCs) of any cancellations or rescheduling needs that arise from the reminder calls.
  • Assist Clinic Support Specialist (CSS) in the data input related to the MID program as needed.
  • Provide support to the PCCs and CSS with scanning.
  • Rotate to provide coverage in Bridgewell's other Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinics as needed.
  • Demonstrates the core philosophy of universal supports by embracing Bridgewell's core values: dignity, respect, caring, integrity, safety and wellness
  • Maintains core training certifications including FA/CPR, PABC and all other mandatory training courses based on Bridgewell's policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
