WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR FCMC Our Rehabilitation Technicians assist the Therapists and Therapist Assistants in performing rehabilitative services for our patients. Along with that, the Patient Services Representative aspect of this role involves promoting a positive experience for patients in our Rehabilitation Services Clinic. More specifically, some of these vital responsibilities include:

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral, in English
  • Basic mathematical skills to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to work cooperatively with team members and patients/clients
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hand and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or twist
  • Frequently able to move, push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision
  • Must maintain an environment conducive to safety for staff, patients/clients, and visitors
  • Must comply with HIPAA and patient privacy
  • Must wear PPE as situations require

Nice To Haves

  • Prior healthcare experience or current Therapy student preferred

Responsibilities

  • Preparing treatment areas and transporting and positioning patients
  • Assisting with the completion of therapy treatment plans
  • Communicating with patients, families, friends, and members of the healthcare team to promote optimal benefits of rehabilitative care
  • Ensuring that needed supplies are available to Therapists and Therapist Assistants
  • Actively participating in ways to improve the program, including providing input into the budgetary planning process, contributing to the cost-effectiveness of services, and establishing and maintaining positive relations with all clients
  • Assisting patients with the check-in process
  • Escorting patients to the right treatment areas
  • Performing routine clerical tasks that support the patient care process
