About The Position

Baystate Health, Western Massachusetts’s premier healthcare provider, and home to Baystate Medical Practices, the largest multispecialty group in the region is looking for a Full-time Patient Service Representative to join our experienced Mason Square Health Center team in Springfield, MA. RESPONSIBILITIES: Baystate Health’s Patient Service Representatives perform a variety of different tasks throughout the day. This includes greeting patients, check in and check out and requesting copays. Responsibilities also include verifying insurances, answering telephones and faxing medical documents. SCHEDULE: Full-time, 40 hours a week Ideal candidate is available M-Fri 8:30a-5pm Evening clinic rotation either Mon or Thurs depending on candidate preference until 7pm Preferential Sat morning clinic 8am-12pm (optional) LOCATION : 11 Wilbraham Rd Springfield, MA QUALIFICATIONS: Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’ only academic center and tertiary care provider has a long and proud tradition of continuous learning and improvement. The base pay range shown above considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED, required
At least 6 months in a medical office setting, preferred
Great interpersonal skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment a MUST
Medical terminology, keyboard, Microsoft office products, schedule systems, medical records (electronic and paper), billing, basic math, language, reading and writing, customer service
