About The Position

The Patient Services Representative is responsible for handling high-volume inbound calls and providing excellent customer service to patients, vendors, insurance companies, and other medical facilities. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

  • Minimum of 3 years in customer service, call center, or a healthcare-related setting
  • English fluency in both spoken and written communication
  • Exceptional phone etiquette
  • Ability to type at least 35 WPM with 90% accuracy
  • Must match trainer’s schedule during onboarding (historically 8:00/8:30 AM – 5:00 PM), then transition to a 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM schedule
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Vietnamese

Responsibilities

  • Answer 60–80 inbound calls per day from patients, vendors, insurance companies, and medical facilities.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by properly greeting, listening, assisting, directing, and closing each call.
  • Reschedule patient appointments via phone, SMS, or messages received through the Patient Portal.
  • Screen and route patient calls to appropriate departments while ensuring accurate registration and appointment scheduling in the EMR system.
  • Take clear and accurate messages on behalf of patients using internal communication templates.
  • Respond to patient inquiries by editing, canceling, and rescheduling appointments according to clinic protocols.
  • Maintain effective communication and positive working relationships within the department and with other departments to support patient care.
  • Demonstrate understanding of SY Health programs and services.
  • Meet department productivity and quality assurance standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
