About The Position
Come join our team! We have an immediate need for a Patient Service Representative in our Knight Dermatology Orlando, FL clinic! The Patient Service Representative is responsible for the patient check-in process, updating computer patient personal information and insurance information, handling a multi-line phone system, medical records filing and maintenance, and collection of co-pays and cash payments. We are looking for flexible candidates who are available to work a variety of shifts, including opening, mid, and closing shifts. Office Hours: Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM Friday: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM Shift Examples: Opening: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM Mid: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Closing: 9:00 AM – 6:30 PM Occasional Saturday availability at our Winter Park location is also required. Schedules may vary based on business needs. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- 1+ years of recent medical office experience or in a similar capacity is preferred.
- Proficient in basic computer functions.
- Ability to learn new software quickly.
- Must possess excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm is preferred.
- Must possess attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.
- Ability to respond positively to constructive feedback and direction from supervisors.
- Must demonstrate professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Must display a friendly, cheerful, tactful, and polite demeanor, and must be compassionate and caring in dealing with others.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

Responsibilities
- Performs opening and closing clinic duties
- Greets patients, checks in for appointments and verifies insurance
- Scans documents into electronic health record
- Maintains tidiness of waiting area and reception counter throughout the day
- Checks schedules for added, canceled and no-show appointments throughout the day
- Schedules follow up appointments as needed
- Responds to designated tasks in the electronic health record
- Orders clinic office supplies
- Sells and tracks cosmetic products
- Distributes mail
- Prepares for next day scheduled appointments
