About The Position

The Patient Service Representative handles inbound and outbound calls in a timely and effective manner.  The position will promote the business processes and support a standard of excellent patient care relating to innovative and superior vision correction care

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be organized and a team player
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills are a must
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and goal driven

Responsibilities

  • Addresses patient inquiries and concerns about appointment scheduling, company services, insurance coverage and payment methods
  • Gathers relevant information based on qualifying questions of patients to determine priority of need and proper place of treatment
  • Participates in the recall of patients who have been inactive for an interval established by the Director of Patient Services
  • Works with supervisor to ensure goals are being met such as scheduling and patient satisfaction
  • Counsels patients and answers questions related to procedures and/or billing on an as needed basis
  • Creates and provides a positive, accountable and inspired work environment for others
