About The Position
Packard Health is a nonprofit primary care medical practice dedicated to providing the best care possible for our patients and community, including people whose economic, cultural, and social conditions might otherwise prevent them from getting health care. We are looking for candidates for our Patient Service Representative position for our West Ann Arbor location. The ideal candidate should have exceptional customer service skills and a passion for helping people and the community. As a Patient Service Representative, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and external customers in the office and on the phone. Your role will involve greeting and assisting customers in obtaining needed services within the office, obtaining and communicating necessary patient and office visit information to facilitate efficient patient flow through the office, and ensuring appropriate billing for services. You must possess exceptional communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment. Your essential functions will include greeting all individuals arriving at the office in a professional manner, obtaining necessary patient registration information, verifying patient insurance eligibility, preparing charts for visits, collecting copays and balances, answering telephone calls, scheduling appointments, assisting with scheduling outside appointments or testing, and processing insurance referrals. You may also be required to support other Packard Health clinics as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
